Embassy Protectors follows activists who came to Venezuela's embassy in Washington D.C. in May 2019 to protect the building from illegal seizure by the U.S. government and right-wing forces.
The Embassy Protection Collective held the building for 37 days at the permission of the elected government of Nicholas Maduro. Four non-violent activists were arrested. The government failed to convict them in the first trial, which was declared a mistrial. They still face federal prosecution.
